Last evening I was invited to a corporate cooking class run by Cookery Magic . Cookery Magic is recommended by Singapore Tourism Board and has mentions in the Lonely Planet Book and Singapore City Scoops as one of the things to do in Singapore! I found it was an excellent way to bond with colleagues and vendors you work with. Also was pleasantly surprised that we all made decent cooks. We had three teams that made a soup, a chicken dish and a salad. Although my personal opinion is the soup turned out the best and my opinion has nothing to do with the fact that we were in the soup team :). Anyway it was great fun and conducted in a relaxing setting of a 200 year old Kampong House. I would recommend this exercise for other corporate teams who are looking for fun and innovative ways to build a healthy working environment. It reminds of a book I read a couple years called Fish Philosophy which illustrates why it’s important to have fun and enjoy what you do. Anyway don’t fail to check out my sexy apron 🙂
